Job Summary: domain, systems and software expertise. It provides high performance software solutions to academia, industry and state bodies, through partnership, knowledge transfer, project delivery and service provision. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic and enthusiastic team of expert computational scientists and systems administrators and contribute to ICHEC’s ambitious programmes of industry engagement and applied computational research. The job’s main focus is placed on developing state of the art high performance software through innovative algorithms capable of leveraging cutting-edge hardware (e.g. many-core, FPGA, etc.) The role involves close interaction with other ICHEC staff and with industry partners in a stimulating work environment.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or in process of finalising) or equivalent experience (min. 4+ yrs. beyond undergraduate degree) in computational science, software engineering, computational physics, applied mathematics or a related discipline. The candidate should demonstrate a track record of working in a R&D environment, with strong software development experience in C/C++, OpenMP, MPI, OpenCL, CUDA, Spark, R, Pearl, and Python, ideally within the Prince2/Agile framework.
