The Senior IT Support Professional will work collaboratively as part of the PACE team to build and lead a growing customer support team. This team will be the main point of contact for all customers using PACE services and systems, and will bring a high-level of enthusiasm and devotion to customer service to customers of all experience levels.
The successful candidate will exhibit a combination of leadership, communication, and technical fluency needed to address common impediments to productivity including systems, user accounts, software and storage issues. The candidate will also take initiative in analyzing trends, collecting feedback, and generating meaningful reports for all stakeholders on a regular schedule.
Previous experience with ServiceNow is strongly preferred. Linux system administration, scripting and programming skills are advantageous.
• Preferred Education: MSc, or comparable post-BSc degrees/certifications (e.g. online trainings, certification programs).
• Preferred Work Experience: 4 years of experience in a higher education institution.
• Preferred Skills: Leadership, excellent people skills, experience with incident and problem response and resolution, basic reporting and statistical analysis for identifying trends, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to simplify complex solutions and information, creation and dissemination of technical documents, basic scripting and code development for automated solutions of common problems, understanding of HPC specific system components such as job schedulers and parallel storage solutions.
