We identified the causes of the network connectivity issues and have implemented vendor provided patches to address them. External connectivity to Comet continues to be stable and the machine is in full production. Please email help@xsede.org if you have any questions.

SDSC Comet is accessible from both the XSEDE and non-XSEDE networks now. We are continuing to monitor the network connectivity and looking into the details of the cause of the disruption and will update when we have additional information. Please email help@xsede.org if you have any questions.

We are continuing to work on the network issue impacting external connectivity to Comet. At present we are still seeing issues going between Comet and other XSEDE sites (including the single sign on (SSO) login host). We will update once the issue is resolved. We are currently seeing problems with the external connectivity to SDSC Comet’s login and compute nodes. This is impacting users trying to connect to Comet and jobs needing external connectivity. We will update once the issue is resolved. Please email help@xsede.org if you have any questions.
