TACC Cloud extended network outage

TACC engineers report that networking has been restored in the TACC cloud.

Some instances, most notably CentOS7-based instances, may need to be rebooted as they often do not gracefully recover from extended network outages.

For any instances that are unreachable on the TACC cloud still, please do try rebooting them first and contact support if they do not go active after 10-15m or are still not reachable once active.

The TACC cloud of Jetstream was experiencing intermittent network issues. The TACC engineers restarted networking services. This requires a network rebuild which is a time consuming process. It may take several more hours for network access to stabilize and return to normal.

Running instances on the TACC cloud should still be active, though CentOS 7 instances in particular often have trouble recovering from extended network outages and require a reboot to return to service.

We will post an update when the TACC cloud has fully returned to service.
