Testbeds are environments that allow users to conduct scientific experiments and typically consist of a variety of hardware and software components. Users design experiments, create and assemble components, run repeatable experiments, gather data, analyze results, and store and share information. In the context of XSEDE, the experiments are computer science experiments that support the use of XSEDE resources and are typically related to parallel, data-intensive, cloud, and distributed computing.

XSEDE will announce opportunities and resources for testbed research and experimentation in the near future.
