A two-day regional in-person regional XSEDE workshop offered in collaboration with the Sunshine State Education and Research Computing Alliance, hosted by Florida A&M and Florida State Universities. This workshop is open to faculty, researchers, and students from all disciplines who are interested in learning how to incorporate modeling and simulation, advanced data analysis and visualization, and high performance computing into their teaching and research.

The workshop agenda includes overviews Florida A&M and Florida State, SSERCA, and XSEDE computational, data analysis, visualization, and data storage resources and hands-on sessions on parallel programming, scientific visualization, and simulation and modeling tools for the classroom.

Topics offered are determined by the pre-event survey and may include the following hands-on sessions:
• COMPUTATIONAL THINKING
• Adding Computational Science to Curriculum
• Introduction to Linux/Unix Basics
• C Programming Basics
• Fortran90/95 Programming
• Introduction to Parallel Computing: OpenMP and MPI Lectures and Labs
• Intro to Scientific Visualization
• Research Data Management
