XSEDE Campus Bridging staff will be hosting an online training session (length 90 minutes) focused on cluster management for non-XSEDE systems, on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. Eastern time.

The presented toolset consists of the XSEDE-Compatible Basic Cluster (XCBC), a set of tools based on the Rocks cluster manager and other Open-Source software commonly used in scientific computation, provided for system administrators who need to build a new cluster or rebuild an existing one from scratch; and the XSEDE National Integration Toolkit (XNIT), a YUM repository of Open-Source scientific packages available to those who merely wish to extend the capabilities of an existing cluster. The covered software is packaged and supported by XSEDE Campus Bridging staff at no charge to the institutions who receive it, and support and consulting are additionally offered on a no-charge basis.
